In the sea of a look

Poem in prose

English text

Ten centimeters,

ten centimeters and his eyes,

his face, his expression,

and in the change of an intense sky

I find myself sighing.

The face of the goddess of life that looks at me,

the feminine fulcrum is the human essence;

call her Madonna, call her a woman, call her God,

call her mother, call her a wife, call her a witch,

call her a wicked one, call her … a reason to live,

or call her a condemn to life.

Prison or meadow,

heaven or hell,

it is in the pulse that there is the way.

Punishment or reward,

the instant of the verb reflected in his trusting and infinite eyes,

the istant of the eternal moment

in the confident abandonment in the waves and in the world

leaves me how one small point,

in the sea of a look.

The infinite search, the superb masterpiece,

the supreme work is to reproduce the face, those eyes,

the most similar possible;

it is bring that instant to the canvas,

getting closer to the perfect expression,

to the eternal gaze of woman in which the human melts,

satiated with himself, with the moment and with the place.

But to recognize a surprise is to lose it,

is to live her it in the distance,

a known suitcase, clothes unveiled,

Santa Claus is a prankster,

and I now recognize the lived,

the circle and the Pi-Greek return, unveiled,

and sadden me in conscience that in reliving them I lose them.

Recognizing the seasons and the moments and its eyes,

knowing the currents and times and the movement of the stars and waves,

revealed maps, know routes traveled, marked paths, sadistic life,

reliving is not living,

distant disappointment, infamous arrival,

recognizing the sea not it means swimming.

The veil of experience creates distance,

admiring a painting you don’t become colors,

and I yearn to be surprised to be in the sigh.
